- Name: Collected when you choose to create a Firebase account to personalize your experience and for account management.
- User IDs: Firebase User IDs are generated and collected by Firebase when you create an account to uniquely identify you for account management and feature access.
- Device and App Information (Collected Automatically):
- Device or other IDs: We collect device-specific identifiers such as the Firebase Instance ID (FID) for essential services like user authentication (if you create an account) and analytics.
- App activity (App interactions): We may collect information about how you interact with the App's features for analytics purposes to understand user behavior and improve the App.
- App info and performance (Crash logs, Diagnostics, Other performance data): We collect crash logs and potentially other diagnostic data to help identify and fix bugs, monitor app health, and improve performance.
- Other User-Generated Content: The text notes and descriptions you add to your financial entries are collected to enhance the functionality of tracking your finances with specific details.

- Automatic Collection: Device IDs, app interactions, and performance data (including crash logs) are collected automatically by our App and third-party service providers like Firebase.

- App functionality: To enable the core features of the App, such as tracking your financial data and providing related tools. This includes using optional account information to personalize your experience if you create an account.
- Account management: To set up and manage your optional user account through Firebase, including authentication and account recovery.
- Analytics: To understand how users interact with the App, monitor app health, diagnose and fix bugs, and make future performance improvements.
- Fraud prevention, security, and compliance: To help secure user accounts and our App, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Personalization: To customize your experience within the App if you choose to create an account (e.g., displaying your name).

- Email Address, Name, and User IDs: Shared for account creation, authentication, and management if you choose to create an account.

We do not share your manually entered financial data (Other Financial Info and Other User-Generated Content related to transactions) with any third parties unless explicitly stated otherwise in a future update to this policy with your consent. This data is primarily stored locally on your device.
5. Data Security
Your manually entered financial data is primarily stored locally on your device's memory, which helps reduce the risks associated with remote storage. For data shared with Firebase, their security measures apply to the storage and processing of that information. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, but remember that no method of transmission over

- Access and Rectification (Local Data): You can access and modify your manually entered financial data directly within the App. You can delete all locally stored data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App from your device.
- Account Data (Firebase): If you create a Firebase account, you may be able to access, modify, or delete certain account information through the App's account settings (if implemented) or by contacting us for assistance. Please also refer to Firebase's privacy policies for more information on your rights regarding data held by them.
- Data Retention: Locally stored financial data is retained until you actively delete it by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App. Data associated with your Firebase account will be retained according to Firebase's policies and until you request account deletion (if that functionality is provided). Crash logs and analytics data are typically retained for a period necessary for analysis and improvement.
7. Children's Privacy
SpendIt is a general audience application and is not directed towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.
